My brother works for a large chemical mergers and acquisitions firm and they just like what they help others do, they merged with another large company. The good thing for him is he specializes in a chemical investment bank so he will not likely be downsized. Generally when companies come together they will have some people doing the same job and with the merger only have space for one. He is also part of the chemical advisory board and has a ton of pull in the office.
My brother is not really worried about anything anyways. He is a bright man and has had people chasing after him to work for them since he left school. People that are smart and educated are a dime a dozen in his industry but ones that are also personable and hard working are hard to come by. That is what makes him so unique. This is just another big opportunity for him.
